as such there is nothing good or bad in life
it all depends how you respond to a situation
e.g. a knife can be used to cut vegetable as well as to end a life
so its always in your hands to makes best out of any situation
now the question here is is greed always bad?
no, it can’t be.
what matter is the object of your greed. lets understand.
is being greedy a bad thing:
greed is a desire,
a desire for having more and more
greedy simply means
one is not satisfied with his present life
greedy mind always project his happiness in the future
and tries to chase some goals to achieve that illusory happiness
but it never happens
because desires are always projected in the future
and future never comes
either one can be fulfilled in this very moment
or one can never be happy
so greed which is a form of desire can never bring happiness
only thing greed can bring is misery
just remember, more greedy a person is
more miserable he is from within
greed is a sign of inner poverty
a greedy person feels so much shallow and empty from within
that he tries to fill himself with things, power, money to fill his emptiness
as this emptiness is very hurting and no one wants to face it.
so greed never helps,
on the contrary it brings more pain and misery
greed promise much but delivers only suffering
but i would still say, if one has to be greedy
then choose something higher and noble for your greed
be greedy for your enlightenment
be greedy for making this world more green and conserve nature
be greedy that every human being gets enough to eat
be greedy that there is peace and harmony in the world
but for god’s sake
don’t be greedy for money, fame, power etc
as these things are futile and transient
and they don’t fulfill your soul
instead they spoil your mind
