well, everyone wants to be a successful person.
everyone is chasing their dreams.
but very few people ever know why they are chasing these dreams?
most people are after money, power, status or glamour
just because they are valued highly in the society
and everyone in their circle is doing the same.
so if you are chasing a dream without knowing, why you are after it
then the search is futile from the very beginning.
because it is not your search… and you are not seeking your inner dream.
so before going further to measure your success in life, find out what is true ambition in life
and once you know what you really want to achieve in life
then you are already on the road to self-discovery and living a successful life.
how to measure success in life?
1. well, i measure success in terms of contentment and peace of mind.
if at the end of day, you are happy and content from within then you are successful.
2. a beggar living on the street might also be a successful person in my eye…
provided this is what he wanted to do and he has done it with his totality.
there is a incident in the life of alexander the great, he met a naked fakir named ‘diogenes’
and seeing the peace and contentment on the face of diogenes,
alexander thought that he is a beggar and the diogenes is the real king.
this is because alexander was still still seeking and desiring more kingdoms and was not content
whereas diogenes was totally content and inwardly rich.
the inner richness of diogenes dwarfed the outer richness of alexander the great.
3. what really matter is not your outer richness but your inner richness.
wherever you are… you should be at ease and enjoying the small moments of life like diogenes was doing.
because at the end of your life, money will not travel with you.
but the way you have lived life will determine your future births.
so live a meaningful life and live it totally.
4. find out what is your real passion in life or what your souls wants to do in this lifetime
and put your heart to accomplish it.
if you are true to your soul then you are successful.
so i don’t judge success in life on the basis of financial prosperity
but i judge it on the basis of your inner state of mind or how you have lived your life.
